Meet Ahmad. He is 8 years old and his parents send him to a madrasah in Koh Kong, Cambodia. Every weekday he has to wake up early to make his journey to school, which is around 3km away from his home. He walks to school every day as there is no public transportation in the area.

As his family is poor, he does not have shoes nor a school uniform, so he has to bear the walk to school every day in slippers. He cannot afford to purchase textbooks, so he has to share with his friends in class.

And that's only Ahmad. In Cambodia, there are thousands of students like him. For those who are a little better off, they would only have 1 set of uniform.

Recently INFAQ.sg was approached by Madrasah Umriah Warrabiah to help them raise funds to provide uniforms, shoes, schoolbags and a year's supply of textbooks and worksheets for their students.

For this project, we aim to provide the following for 150 students from this madrasah.

Each student will receive:

2 x Shoes
1 x School Bag
1 Year's supply of textbooks & worksheets


For Girls ( $97 )
3 x Uniforms + Tudung
2 x Shoes
1 x School Bag
1 Year's supply of textbooks & worksheets
