Dates are a good source of essential vitamins and minerals which are important for maintaining healthy blood pressure and a robust immune system. In addition, dates have cultural and religious significance in many Muslim communities and are often shared with family and friends during Ramadan as a symbol of unity and generosity.
With this Kurma Amal initiative, we aim to provide for families in the Telok Blangah district for them to have Iftar this Ramadan with ease. It not only addresses hunger but also help preserve important traditions and values their fast with a healthy and meaningful food that is integral to our culture and religion. Dates also are a natural source of sugar and carbohydrates, which can provide a quick boost of energy to the body after a long day of fasting, helping them perform their Tarawih prayers in the utmost lively state.
Prophet s.a.w. mentioned:
"When one of you is fasting, he should break his fast with dates; but if he cannot get any, then (he should break his fast) with water, for water is purifying.”
(Hadith Salman ibn 'Amir)
[24-March-2023] A total of 33 kg of Ajwa dates have been collected from our sponsors and delivered to Telok Belanga PA. They will be distributing the dates to their residents over the whole month of Ramadan.

Qn: Will I get an acknowledgment after I register and make payment?
Ans: Yes.
- For Bank Transfers, please reply to the registration email (Email subject is: [Infaq.SG - Infaq] (#Infaq180-XXXXX-XXXXXXXX) Kurma Ajwa Amal 2023)) with the screenshot of the transfer transaction so that we can update our system and send you the confirmation email. Please ensure that the screenshot contains the UEN/Recipient's bank account number and amount.
- For cheques, we will send you the confirmation email once the cheque is cleared.
Qn: I've made payment via PayNow and Bank Transfers. I have not received the confirmation email. Why?

Qn: After I register, will it be delivered to my house?
Ans: No. It will not be delivered to your house. Our partner will deliver to the needy families in the Telok Blangah district.
