COVID-19 is estimated to have intensely increased the number of people facing serious food. Despite reaching temperatures of around 27 degrees Celsius in some areas during the summer, winter in Uganda may be exceedingly harsh, particularly along the plain plateau land, and extremely cold in mountainous areas, with protracted periods of snow and temperatures below zero.
Following the Bududa 2018 Landslides, nearly 2000 households were displaced without proper clothing and forced to stay in grass thatched inadequate shelters, leaving them very vulnerable to rain and snow.
According to the beneficiary feedback collected, winterization is among the most needed
items within the region (winterization support to be provided in form of non-food items such as mattresses, high thermal blankets, mosquito nets and blankets.)
We shall distribute family winter package to 500 families in 5 villages in 3 districts of Bududa, Butebo and Kibuku.

We have done our final distribution of 11 Winter Packages to the families in Bududa, Uganda on 23-Jan-2022.
We have completed our 1st distribution of 52 Winter Packages to the families in Bududa, Uganda on 18-Nov-2021.
